You've covered your points on the ranger pretty well, and I like the skill change suggestions. I personally have a ranger as my main character, almost got her GWAMM (3 more titles to go!). I've been creative with my builds, improvised a lot of odd stuff - but I've not used half of the ranger skills available because, well, they're underpowered. That's why my main build doesn't use a bow, but a scythe.

However, as much as I dislike pessimism, I doubt there will ever be a major update for rangers. Look how long it's taking them to get the dervish one out, not to mention GW2 is just around the corner...

Despite what so many think, GW2 is not the end of GW1. In fact, a shrinking player base is all the more reason to make drastic changes in order to breathe new life into the game.
